Booking & Reservations
How do I make a reservation?
+You can book directly through our website for the best rates (book direct and save!), or through Airbnb. Click "Book Your Stay" on any page, select your dates, and follow the checkout process. For questions, email us at mypuremichigangetaways@gmail.com.
What is the minimum stay requirement?
+Minimum stay is typically 2 nights. During peak seasons (holidays, summer weekends), we may require a 3-night minimum. Special events near Crystal Mountain may have longer minimums.
How far in advance can I book?
+Our calendar is open up to 12 months in advance. Peak seasons (winter ski season, summer months) book quickly, so we recommend reserving 2-3 months ahead for those times.
Do you offer discounts for longer stays?
+Yes! We offer weekly discounts (7+ nights) and monthly discounts (28+ nights). Contact us directly for the best rates on extended stays.
Can I book the cabin for events or parties?
+The cabin is perfect for intimate celebrations (anniversaries, small family gatherings) with up to 4 guests. Large parties or events are not permitted. We can arrange private chef services for special dinners!

What time is check-in and check-out?
+Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Early check-in or late checkout may be available upon request (based on availability). Just ask!
How do I access the cabin?
+The cabin features self check-in with a secure lockbox. You'll receive the lockbox code (2757) and detailed access instructions on the morning of your arrival. The lockbox is located on the left side of the garage door.
What if I arrive late?
+No problem! The lockbox allows 24/7 access, so you can check in anytime after 4:00 PM. Just let us know your estimated arrival time so we can ensure everything is ready.
Is there parking available?
+Yes! There's a dedicated parking space right in front of the cabin. During winter, the driveway is plowed and maintained.

How many people can sleep at the cabin?
+The cabin sleeps up to 4 guests comfortably:
- Loft: 1 Queen bed
- Main level: 1 Queen sleeper sofa
All linens and bedding are provided.
Is WiFi available?
+Yes! High-speed WiFi is included at no extra cost. Network name (Serenity) and password (Paradise) are provided in your day-of check-in email. Perfect for remote work or streaming!
What's included in the kitchen?
+The fully equipped kitchen includes:
- Full-size refrigerator
- Stove and oven
- Microwave
- Coffee maker (regular & Keurig)
- Cookware, dishes, utensils
- Basic cooking essentials (oil, salt, pepper)
We provide coffee, tea, and some pantry basics!
Is there a hot tub?
+Yes! The cabin features a private outdoor hot tub that's available year-round. It's professionally maintained and cleaned before each guest arrival. Perfect for stargazing!
What about towels and linens?
+All linens, towels, and bath essentials are provided. This includes:
- Bed linens and pillows
- Bath towels and washcloths
- Kitchen towels
- Shampoo, conditioner, body wash
- Toilet paper and paper towels
Is there air conditioning and heat?
+Yes! The cabin has both central heat and air conditioning, ensuring comfort year-round. There's also a cozy fireplace for ambiance (decorative/electric).
Can I do laundry?
+There's a washer and dryer available for guest use during longer stays. Detergent is provided.
Location & Area
How far is the cabin from Crystal Mountain Resort?
+The cabin is just 10 minutes from Crystal Mountain Resort! Perfect for skiing, golfing, and spa days. You're close enough to enjoy everything, but far enough for peace and quiet.
What about Sleeping Bear Dunes?
+Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is about 30 minutes away. It's an easy day trip to explore the dunes, beaches, and scenic drives.
How far is Traverse City?
+Downtown Traverse City is approximately 25 minutes away. Great for wine tours, dining, shopping, and breweries. We provide recommendations!
Is the cabin private and secluded?
+Yes! The cabin is nestled in a wooded area with plenty of privacy. You'll have your own space while still being close to restaurants and activities.
Are there grocery stores nearby?
+Yes! There's a grocery store about 10 minutes away in Thompsonville. Full supermarkets are 20 minutes away in Traverse City. We recommend stocking up before check-in.
What activities are nearby?
+So much to do! Skiing/snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, wine tours, breweries, beaches, fishing, golfing, spa services, and more. Check our Experiences page for curated recommendations.
Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
+We follow an Airbnb Moderate policy:
- Full refund if you cancel 5+ days before check-in
- 50% refund if you cancel within 5 days of check-in (excludes first night and cleaning fee)
- No refund after check-in or if the trip has started
The cleaning fee is always refunded if you cancel before check-in.
Do you allow pets?
+Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at this time. This helps us maintain the cabin's pristine condition for guests with allergies. Service animals are always welcome.
Is smoking allowed?
+The cabin is strictly non-smoking indoors. You're welcome to smoke outside, but please dispose of butts properly. A $250 fee applies if evidence of indoor smoking is found.
What are the house rules?
+Our simple rules ensure everyone enjoys their stay:
- Maximum 4 guests
- No parties or events
- Quiet hours: 10 PM - 8 AM
- No smoking indoors
- No pets (except service animals)
- Respect the neighbors and nature
What are the cleaning and damage policies?
+A $150 cleaning fee is included in your reservation. We ask that you:
- Wash and put away dishes
- Take out trash to bins
- Leave cabin reasonably tidy
Accidental damage happens - just let us know! Undisclosed damage may result in charges.

Do you provide firewood?
+If the cabin has an outdoor fire pit, a starter supply of firewood is provided. Additional firewood can be purchased locally. Note: Check current fire restrictions at michigan.gov/dnr/firealert.
What should I bring?
+The cabin is well-stocked! Just bring:
- Groceries and beverages
- Personal toiletries (basics provided)
- Outdoor gear (seasonal activities)
- Your sense of adventure!
We send a detailed packing list 30 days before your arrival.
Is the cabin suitable for remote work?
+Yes! High-speed WiFi, a dedicated workspace, and peaceful surroundings make it perfect for "workations." Many guests combine work weeks with weekend adventures.
